Vaigai River improvement works includes Counter- fort retaining wall, Development of Road and Pedestrian pathway along the roads, Provision of Compound wall / fencing, Development of Walkways, Development of Greenbelt, Development of Platform and steps, Tree Seating, Development of Park with Children’s play area, Lighting Arrangements, Provision of Toilets/ E-toilets etc., which will be a cultural and recreation spot for the public of Madurai and Tourist.
